A SUMMER WITHOUT BSF

Wednesday July 15th, 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we write this statement. Like all summer festivals, following the decision of the Security Council to cancel all mass gatherings until August 31st, we have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 edition of the Brussels Summer Festival.

Like all of you we have over the last few weeks been very attentive to the evolution of the unprecedented health crisis we are going through. Our priority has always been and will remain the health and safety of our festival-goers, artists, partners, teams and professionals involved. We are therefore carefully following the government’s recommendations on this matter.

On 15 April 2020 we were informed by the National Safety Council that all Belgian festivals have been cancelled for the summer 2020. We are therefore sorry to inform you that the Brussels Summer Festival, initially taking place from 19 to 23 August, has been cancelled.

Above all, we hope that yourself and your loved ones are in good health. We have a deep thought for the people and the workers who every day allow us to continue to live, feed ourselves and move around. They are the ones we need to applaud this summer.

We would also like to thank our festival-goers who have been faithful from the first announcements of the festival. All tickets purchased will be reimbursed and/or valid for the 2021 edition of the BSF. We will come back to you soon with the different procedures on our social media and website.

Until then we can only encourage you to stay home, to respect the sanitary measures imposed by the government and to take care of yourself and your entourage.

See you from 18 to 22 August 2021, when we’ll be able to have the party we all deserve.
